A dream comes true. Going into a studio and recording this first album materialized in songs the feelings and experiences of a world wanderer. Jazz, bossa nova, rock, new world, French and Brazilian popular music come together in a mix that reveals an original composer and brings swing and joy, reflections and tenderness, love and gratitude.
Presence is above all about gratitude. 100% of Xavier’s share of the results will be given to foster musical education of less fortunate children in Brasil, through a partnership with Instituto Baccarelli.

Instituto Bacarelli: music changing lives.
All children have a talent to develop and the right to thrive in life. Through learning how to play a musical instrument, Instituto Bacarelli offers a path to less fortunate young people to be included into society.
For the last 25 years, some 1200 kids and teens have been welcomed every year by the Institute and had their doors opened to a profession and a more dignified future.
The Orquestra Sinfônica Heliópolis, the first orchestra born inside a “favela” worldwide, is the result of this wonderful work, reference in music teaching and social insertion.
